As always, it takes awhile to collect and gather all the necessary shiny bits that go into a piece like this - such as a flask, harmonicas, watches, microphone, bottle openers, lighters, gauges, wrenches, car emblems, coin, jack knife, 1930’s window crank, dial indicator, trombone mouthpiece, motorcycle brake lever, bearings, key, motorcycle fuel shut off, mini spy camera, and more!

Ansell the crow’s beak was fashioned from a pair of pliers, and his body is built using vintage typewriter parts. Ansell is perched on a construction tie wire holder, and recycled street sign, handmade frame.

Kaimana is a kinetic sculpture made primarily of metal from a vintage 1940  Ford.  When his crank is turned, Kaimana's tongue (an old chainsaw blade) swings back & forth and in & out. On Kaimana's right side, his eye (a vintage door knob) can be lifted for a peek-a-boo view of his inner workings.  Kaimana, Hawaiian for "power of the sea", stands 61 inches tall, is 59 inches long and approximately 27 inches wide.  Other materials used to create this one of a kind sculpture are vintage drill parts, a farm compactor wheel, antique fire extinguisher and a 1940 Ford steering box. He is simply fabulous!
